This is the story of Richard from Reddit, who faced a harrowing ordeal in the depths of the Dark Web.
Richard’s Most Fateful Misstep
A guy named Richard was once surfing the internet just like we all do, and he found a site where he read some things about the Deep Web and the Dark Web.
He got curious about the stuff that was said about the dark web and he thought of visiting the dark web.
With the help of the Onion browser, accessed the dark web, and in the end, he realized that it was actually his biggest mistake.
The Red Room
After surfing for a couple of minutes, he found many disturbing things. Things like human flesh selling, dead bodies for sale, et cetera.
There was a site where he visited and saw a black screen and a chat going to the right. It was a live stream with a blank screen. The chat was going in different languages and codes which Richard could not understand.
People were giving bitcoins to the stream. It was like people were giving money away for entertainment like on the street.
Suddenly he saw a preview loading on the screen, and people were waiting for it to start.
The video previews, and there’s a man tied to a chair.
People continued to chat and started talking with each other. They were all waiting for something to happen. Something Richard was definitely not expecting.
After a few minutes, a person with a black hoodie with his face covered enters the screen. At this time, the chat and the donations started going even faster.
The guy in the hoodie leaves the screen and comes in with a hammer.
He starts to hit the jaw of the person tied to the chair, giving him 15–20 hits until his jaw breaks off completely and starts hanging.
At this moment, the chair guy couldn’t even scream. His voice was distorted when he was screaming. The chat while watching this looked, very happy and was donating more.
After this, the guy in the hoodie did a poll about whether the chair guy should live or die. Out of 20–25k people from the chat, 95% of the people polled “DIE” and only 5% of people polled “LIVE”.
After witnessing all this, Richard was trembling with fear, and what was about to happen next made his face turn pale as a ghost.
After the poll, the hammer guy went to the person in the chair and started bashing his chest until he stopped breathing and died.
After that person died, a question popped up next asking “WHO’S NEXT?”
After this question, 10 divisions were made, with face cams of an individual in each box. And one of them was Richard.
After seeing this, Richard’s eyes widened with fear and he started sweating. Everyone began selecting an individual from the division to go next.
When Richard was surfing the site, they hacked his computer and his face cam.
After the message, people chose an individual. There was a countdown starting from 10. When the countdown moved from 10 to 1, the face cams were disappearing one by one. In the last 2 seconds, there were 2 face cams left. One was of an unknown person, and the other one was of Richard.
At the last second, Richard’s face cam was removed as well and was left with an unknown face cam.
That unknown guy was terrified in the face cam when he was the only one left on the screen and was shown to the chat on screen.
After this, a message popped up on Richard’s screen “WE’LL MEET SOON”
After this, he closed all his tabs and decided to never go on the Dark Web again!
After posting this story on Reddit, Richard added that he had never seen that hammer guy, that unknown person in the face cam ever in his life.
And this incident became the most terrifying incident of Richard’s life.
